With more than 25 years’ tradition, the FI (Food Ingredients), NI (Natural Ingredients) and HI (Health Ingredients) exhibitions continue to attract visitors worldvide.

For 2015, the FI Global organization have announced nine exhibitions and conferences around the world including

FI Istanbul, 13 – 15 May,
FI Asia, Bangkok, 9 – 11 September and
FI Europe, Paris, 1 – 3 December.
According to the FI Global website, more than 750 exhibitors are currently registered for FI Europe in December.

The Fonterra Co-operative Group has opened its first wholly owned European ingredients plant, the New Zealand-based company recently announced in a press release. It will produce whey and lactose specialty ingredients. (more…)

Malvern Instruments’ New Particle Characterization System

In 2014, Malvern Instruments, UK acquired the Archimedes particle characterization system from Affinity Biosensors LLC (Santa Barbara, California).

The Archimedes system detects and counts particles by Resonant Mass Measurement. Particles in small samples are determined by mass and size.  The system can be used for measuring aggregation in biotherapeutic formulations.
